National Gallery Review

The National Gallery in London was founded in 1824 and houses a rich collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900 in its home on Trafalgar Square. The gallery is an exempt charity, and a non-departmental public body of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (...) (from Wikipedia).
A very large art museum situated in Trafalgar Square. This is where you can see the works of the greats, running the gamut from Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt, to Van Gogh and Cézanne. The pictures at the gallery are mounted chronologically. The collection presents eight different centuries of art. It's worth remembering that this is one of the largest museums in the world exhibiting works of art, so it's easy to get lost in the building for hours. One of the refreshing innovations in the gallery is a computer at the entrance which allows you to type in your ten favorite works of art from the collection. The computer then prints out the route you need to take around the museum in order to see the ten works you have chosen.
Entrance is free of charge.
Address:  Trafalgar Sq. WC2.
Underground station: Charing Cross.
