The Joods Historisch Museum (Jewish Historical Museum) is a museum in Amsterdam dedicated to Jewish history, culture and religion, in the Netherlands and worldwide. It is the only museum in the Netherlands dedicated to Jewish history (...) (from Wikipedia).
This museum presents the rich culture and history of the Amsterdam Jewish community. An extensive renovation was completed in 2007. The exhibits review the community's history for a span of almost a thousand years, and clarify the tight bond between the Amsterdam community and the Portuguese and Spanish Jews, who were expelled, and of whom some settled down in Holland.
