4 nights...Wednesday 3rd July, 4th July, 5th July, 6th July

Day 1: Wednesday 3rd July...After arriving from Rome, settle into our hotel. Take time to explore the surprisingly pleasand old city between Corso Italia and the Sea. At night the narrow streets of centro storico are alive with cafes, clubs, and restaurants, which become positively crowded during the inghts of summer. Enjoy the lively terrace of the Fauno Bar, Piazza Tasso 13, for an aperitivo and people watching.
Day 2: Thursday 4th July. Naples. Visit the National Archaeological Museum of NAPLES. Catch a train on the Circumvesuviana to Napoli Centrale or Garibaldi Stop, (the same stop, one on top of the other).  Catch the subway, (Metropolitana) Line 2, downstairs at the Garibaldi stop, which is located in Centrale train station.  Stop at Piazza Cavour. A 5 minute walk to Arch.Museum.
Allow time to visit the town of Naples before returning to Sorrento.  See Rick Steves walk through the town which leaves from the museum.  Take the walk down to where the boat leaves to go back to Sorrento.
Naples to Sorrento: Take the Metro del Mare route back to Sorrento.  The lines which connect Sorrento with Naples are the MM1, MM2, MM3 and MM7.  The MM3 stops at only one city along the way and is the fastest trip.  Otherwise it could be a 2 hour trip.  Ticket cost 6.50E.  The different lines also stop at both the Molo Beverello and Mergellina piers at different times, so thats another thing to pay attention to.  The orange town bus leaves the Ferry Port (Marina Piccolo, in Sorrento) and takes you to the Square thus avoiding a steep ascent by foot.
Day 3: 5th July, Friday...Positano and Amalfi.  Catch a bus to Amalfi first stopping off at Positano. Sit on the right hand side of bus for best views. Go early.  I think I read the buses start at 6.30am.  Buses depart train station nearly hourly, 20/day.  Marked (amalfi via Positano).  50 minutes to Positano and then a further 50 minutes to Amalfi. Time permitting catch a bus up to Ravello.  Either walk back to Amalfi (5kms downhill or bus back.
Catch the boat back to Sorrento from Amalfi.  Pick up a time schedule from Tourist Information.  Buy ticket on dock.  Check for last departure.  Metro Del Mare time table says their last ferry back to Sorrento is at 5 oclock and arrives at 6.10.
Day 4: 6th July, Saturday...Today we could go back to one of the places already visited or take a train to Pompeii.  (30 minutes by train).  Trains to Pompeii leave Sorrento several times a day and cost 2.10 E one way.  Get the Circumvesuviana train bound for Napoli and get off at the Scavi station, the stop is after the stop called Moregine.  As soon as you get off the train, turn right then left.  The entrance to the site is about 2 or 3 minutes wald from the station.
Depart Sorrento for Ishia Island, Sunday 7th July.

Piazza Tasso Square :  a very famous, happening, hotch potch place . Loads of restos, bars, pubs, shops, full of tourist, having drinks, eating and watching tourists.. indulge in the Italian way of life.
Drinks are not cheaper but compared to hotels Yes they are cheaper:), do lil bargaining, be aware of scooters on the road :)
Don't forget that Sorrento is the Limoncello capital of the world - a liquor made from lemons.  Limoncello Crema is a creamy version of the straight-up Limoncello that you may like if you'd prefer a less-stiff drink.  If you don't try it, then you've not been to Sorrento!
Beaware of Pickpocketers and thieves :(

Day 1: gonna have a walk to Sorrento -Piazza Tasso square. Roam, eat, drink and relax.
