Sevilla Review

Seville (Spanish: Sevilla) is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It is the capital of the autonomous community of Andalusia and of the province of Seville. It is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir, with an average elevation of above sea level (...)(from Wikipedia).
Seville is Andalusia's largest city, and has a special charm of its own. The benches beneath orange trees, which are grown for their beauty along the Guadalquivir River in Seville, provide appropriate shade and background for lovers. The bullfighting season, extremely popular in Spain, ends in Seville in late October, and provides a dramatic atmosphere, and as the peak of Andalusian romance Seville is considered to be the flamenco capital of the world.

Sevilla Trips

From Trip: Andalusia the Land of Wonderful Palaces
By: yoel

Day 1: Córdoba to Seville
On the morning of the second day, it is recommended that you leave Córdoba and take the E5 road to Seville – Andalusia's biggest city. The distance is 143km, or approximately two and a half hours by car.
First you should visit Seville's most important and famous sites – the Cathedral, the Giralda tower next to it, and the royal Alcazar palace. In the evening, it is suggested to visit one of the many flamenco shows presented in the city, and to have a typical Andalusian tapas meal.

POI's:Day 2: A Visit to Seville
Walk along the streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz quarter, which was in the past the city's Jewish Ghetto. Afterwards, you should visit the Palaza de America, adjacent to the large park, the Parque de Maria Luisa. The park is on the eastern bank of the Rio Guadalquivir river, and is the city's recreational area and its largest green lung. Every day, at all hours, many of the city's residents come here to rest, and on summer days, to escape the heat. The park includes some kiosks and cafes, where light meals are served. After lunch, visit Seville's art museum (Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes de Sevilla), and a few other sites, such as the Flamenco Museum (Museo del Bailes Flamenco) and the gardens of the Pilatos Palace (Casa de Pilatos).
